More Horrors... Sorta...

"Hey, where are Brian and Foxeris?" Louis asked the combined group.

Sora glanced around the park, then elbowed Oriana. The lioness gasped for a second and finally pulled her eyes away from starting at Kyri. "What?" She asked.

"You know where Fox and Brian wondered off too?"

She shook her head, some of her wet hair flying around a bit. "Not a clue."

Sora looked around for Thrysten and Zen, and found them already looking around the trees where they had arrived at. Lan Louis and Nutsy had already started looking over the van, while Louis himself was surveying the wreckage of the picnic table.

Kalindra shook her head, shaking some of the water off. "They probably went off into the woods to relieve themselves, or something of the like."

Oriana shrugged, ringing some of the water out of her hair. "I'm not to sure, maybe there still hiding from the food fight?"

"With all the mustard?" Louis asked, rolling the half empty keg of Mt. Dew under his foot.

"This feels wrong." Thrysten said, walking over to where Oriana and Sora were standing, slowly shaking the water out of her wings. Which, being made up of feathers, held a lot more water then Sora's did.

Zen buzzed over and around everyone's head, then finally back over to the three females. "Serin said he saw both of them under the other picnic table." The cloud of nanites reported, then zipped off around the table.

"What exactly feels wrong about it Thryst?" Oriana asked, sticking her paw out and catching a towel the Lan Louis had dug out of the van. He had a stack of thirty or so, and was tossing them out to those who needed them.

The gryphoness shook her head, clutching the gem of her necklace in one bird-like paw. Clicking her flexible beak a bit. "I'm not sure. Just with what I know of magic, it feels off."

No one had time to ask any more questions, as most suddenly answered themselves as Zen went shooting into the air, screaming as loud as he could. He was followed by a thick, mostly slimy tentacle that was do it's best to grab onto the cloud.

Everyone stood watching for a few seconds as the tentacle twisted around a bit, then plunged back into the ground.

"What the _hell_ was that?" Kyrn asked, running over to the spot of air the Zen had settled over. A few seconds later everyone was standing next to him.

Zen, on his part, was shivering as much as a cloud of microscopic robots can. "It was some kind of Indescribable Horror." He explained, "there was a interdenominational rip under the table. I went in, and found Brian and Foxeris, both captive, and that thing!"

Sora rubbed her forehead. "So, how do we get them back?"

No one had an answer to that, they just all looked around, staring at the ground (though the Velan's looking almost like they where ready to party). Finally the silence was broken by the tentacle suddenly re-emerging from the ground, and slapping Kalindra up side the face hard enough to make her fall onto the ground. Then it vanished back though it's hole.

Kalindra frowned, and whipped the slime from her face with a towel. Though she was a bit surprised to find a note stuck to it.

Unfolding it, she shook of some of the slime and started reading, muttering under her breath. "Kidnaped.. pain... hurt... torturer... dismemberment... death... Then I'll get really mean..." she nodded a few times, then looked up.

"I don't suppose you guys _really_ want your human back?" she asked the rest of Fox's group.

       "Yes." Oriana said.

Kalindra rolled her eyes. "Fine then. That thing has given us an hour to pay it's ransom."

       "Which is?" Louis asked.

       "Ten-thousand Twinkys."
