Flying Chilli!!
(Fox's Head 2, Part 2)
Just out side of the picnic, right between two normal looking trees to be exact. The bounds of physics, magic, and techno-babble, and stretched and shattered in a spectacular show of... nothing.
More to the point, the nothing was actually a brief instant where about ten, to the ten-billion universes, dimensions, and one pond, sort of merged together.
From out of this patch of air the looked exactly like all the air around it, a set of figures stepped, pushing through the transparent field.
With a pop like a bubble, the field burst sending a light film of water over everything. Left standing in it's wake was a single, overly scruffy looking human, a morphic gryphoness, a lioness-morph. Some kind of wolf, or coyote cross bred with wings, and one silver cloud of nanties zipping around there heads.
The gryphoness shook her head. "That's a very interesting way to travel." She muttered.
The human gave a bit of a shaky smile. "It's a bit of a left over from where I took the idea from. It will go away in a few days."
Zen flipped around in Fox's (I mean, what other human was invited?) face. "You're going to take that away from me."
He nodded. "Yep, you're going to end up as a simple computer in someone's body. So don't push your luck." Then with a heft, he picked up a large keg, and headed towards the picnic table. The other's following behind him.
As they all deposited there food for the picnic on the table. The other three scattered out among the rest of the crowd, though Zen, and Fox wondered over to sit with the rest of the humans.
Dropping down next to Brian and Louis, he rests his arms on the table, glancing over at the assorted set of Brian's characters around him, he shrugs. "Looks like your guys don't get along to well."
He nodded, waving of Zen as he fitting through his hair. "That's an understatement."
"They've been here for ten minutes, and all they've done is glare at each other, and throw the occasional insult." Louis explained.
"Gee, sounds like my family." Fox said, grabbing a bit of food. Then glancing along a table, he spotting the pair of unicorns, about the same time they spotted him.
He smiled. "Kyrn? That be you?" He asked.
The unicorn nodded. "I expected you would recognize me, it's interesting to meet you some other place then on-line..."
Fox nodded. "And this is?"
"Kyri."
Fox gave her a quick once over, then focused on her face. "Nice to meet you as well."
She gave him a slight nod.
Fox looked at her for a few more seconds, though the whole time his focus staying intently on her face. Finally, after make sure he would remember her name, he turned back to the other two humans.
"Interesting pair you have there."
Brian gave a nod, casting his eyes from the unicorns, to the Velans.
"You know, I get the feeling Brian is going to stay right where he is for the whole day." Louis said.
Brian cast his eyes at the other two. "Damn right." he said.
Before he could turn back around to watch over his characters, Fox and Louis watch as a large blob of chill flew through the air, and hit a tree with a 'glup' sound. And then start to disintegrate it.
None of the three humans say who did it, but in seconds the rest of the people at the table got involved, then the others at the picnic. In less then ten seconds, the food fight was going at full speed.
