Naming Convention
For pop music and soundtracks:
artist - movie - song title (comment)
- artist: The artist, group, or composer; last name first. If a song from a move is
a cast ensamble, the composer's name is omitted. If there are duets,
use
& to separate the artists' names.
- movie: The move this song is from. Only included if the song is part of the story (or is intrumental).
- song title: The title of the song as listed on the CD. Medleys are separated by semicolons.
- comment: Any comments, such as if the song is live, an extended mix, or was scratched on the CD.
- All words are capitalized. The words 'The' and 'A' are moved to the end of group names and song titles.
For classical music:
-
composer - opus - movement [soloists; orchestra; conductor]
-
A-Flat but F Minor. No. 5.
