Yay! I got my new monitors set up! 7.936M pixels, and I love every one of them!
I went to Office max to get a few things I needed. I used an entire box of copy paper to make monitor stands, and it still came out cheaper ($32) than the plastic stands they were selling. I did buy a metal stand so I wouldn't be running my mouse into the monitor stand. Now my mouse livee underneath the monitor!
I was frustrated when the Quadro NVS 280 card I ordered to drive the secondary monitors did not have DVI outputs. It came with a DMS-59 to 2-VGA adapter. I was all excited about having a pure digital system, and now I was going to have to run my two side monitors on an analog signal. Luckily, the monitors came with VGA cables, so I was able to hook everything up at least. When I reviewed the description on the web site, it didn't actually say that tha card would come with a DMS-59 to 2-DVI-I adapter. The card description does claim that the card can produce a digital signal, so I just ordered the correct adapter and hopefully that will fix the problem.
I did have some blue screens trying to get the drivers set up right. Eventually I downloaded and installed the latest driver for the GeForce 8600 fron NVidia and everything seems to be working fine now.
