Today I wrote my logarithmic clock in Java, or at least a first draft of it. I went to Brown Bag for lunch. I usually go on Fridays. It's much busier on Saturdays! I mowed the lawn, and Michelle and I went to Target to get Father's Day cards.
We went to The Melting Pot for dinner. Michelle wore her new blue and green dress and matching necklace that I really like. We had the Big Night Out dinner, with a smokey cheddar cheese fondue, a ceaser salad, coq a vin cooking style with lobster, strip steak, teriyaki beef, tiger shrimp, and other goodies, and nuts and berries chocolate fondue. It was a great evening!
We came home and watched House Of Flying Daggers. I actually really liked it. It was visually impressive, of course. The story was a little stilted (it is a foreign film after all) but otherwise pretty straight forward until the end. And I managed to ignore the little jabs of "bad physics" pain every time one of the daggers stopped spinning in mid flight. I don't quite understand why that would irk me and most of the rest of the insanity leaves me happy. Strange!
