I went out to Romano's Macaroni Grill this evening. I haven't been out during a week night for months, and I got an advertisement in the mail for their Trio Milano - ceasar salad, bowtie pasta with grilled chicken, and chocolate cake. That was right up my alley! It looked really good so I went. It was fun! Well, fun considering I was all alone. I had a whole mini-loaf of bread to myself, and the food was very good. I like the Macaroni Grill because I have fun drawing on the table. I drew a bell pepper (because the color of the crayon I had was called "roasted red pepper") and sketched a new character from a new story I'm working on. A happy evening.
And speaking of the story, I've been having fun with it. I don't have much written down, I'm just kind of coming up with an outline. The problem with reading authors like Neal Stephenson is that I tend to feel that a story should have tons of details, so I sometimes lose interest when writing because it takes so long to write the story and a couple hours effort doesn't produce much plot progress. But I noticed as I was brainstorming and outlining, I was getting kind of excited to find out what happens next. Being creative is fun again!
