Happy birthday to me! Yay! 29, baby!

They asked me at work if I thought they'd forgot. Not really. The group is pretty good about these things. But I think it's poor form to feel that the group owes me a birthday cake. I was trying hard not to expect anything. And that way I got to be happily "surprised" when everyone gathered to wish me happy birthday, give me a card, and share my birthday cake. And I want to stress "happily". I was pleased as punch! The card was fun (and funny), and the cake was a moist chocolate cake with good chocolate frosting - mmmm. After everyone had a piece, there was probably a third or a fourth left. I moved it from Brian's desk to my desk because I didn't want it to be in his way. By morning, it was all gone. :) Life is good!
