Ah-hah! I think I fixed the wiki banlist problem! I could not figure out why it kept banning the wrong IP address. I finally figured out that the IP I was grabbing to ban was the IP of last editor, not the current connection. And the reason I was having trouble getting the IP of the current connection was due to a typo in the environment variable name. D'oh! OK, it's all better now. :)

My other interesting story for the day is that I tried something new for lunch. Brown Bag has all sorts of good stuff for the meat part of the sandwich - turkey, ham, roast beef, plus things like tuna, chicken salad, and egg salad. They also have "pimento cheese". Now, everything else I've had has been great, so I figured I ought to try it. I got a normal sandwich will all the fixings (whole wheat breat, lettuce, onion, pickle, etc.) and pimento cheese as the "meat". I was a little worried when the lady who handed it to me said, "That should be an interesting sandwich." The result? Well, not my favorite. The middle was something like grated yellow cheese with pimento-y bits, mixed with mayo or something to hold it together. It was similar in consistency to egg salad, perhaps a bit runnier. It wasn't bad, but it didn't really do anything for me. I don't know what kind of sandwich it would be good on. I think the best part was it kind of squished out of the sandwich as I ate it, so after I ate the cheese that came out the sides, there wasn't much in the middle, and the rest of the sandwich was good by itself. Michelle said she thinks pimento chees spread is some sort of Texas thing. Anyway, I'm glad I tried it but I don't think I'll be having that again soon. Not when their roast beef and their tuna sandwiches are so good. :)

Today I did a bunch of little things and nothing big. I finished the Wonderland Trail book on the plane last night, so I made some maps and put my idea for an easy four day hike up on the Wonderland Trail Expedition page. I did mail and work e-mail and a phone interview and scheduled some appointments. I exercised (of course) and fixed the wiki (above).

Michelle came home, and we went to Niko Niko's for dinner. We haven't been there since they renovated. It's nice, though still has it's hole-in-the-wall atmosphere. We got one dinner plate, a small salad, and a half order of hummus, and still ended up having a huge amount of food. When we came home, we had a good discussion about our budget. We're on the same page, which is always good. :)

If you are looking for a good place to waste some time, Joey Tomatoes is pretty cool. It appears to be a way for small studios that make advertisements and such to advertise by showing off shorts they've made. That is, you can download TV adds and other neat stuff like Muppets Over Time. And of course Cartoon Brew is interesting too.

Lots of new stuff posted - some whiteboard notes, some pictures, and some story scraps.
