Chocolate buzz! Boo-yeah! Or high on life, I'm not sure which. :)

Anyway, we took Michelle's car in for an oil change and a tire rotation, then went to Starbucks for a Chantico. :D I decided to walk home so I could stop by the ATM for cash. I was looking at my ATM receipt, and I had the urge to shout "Woo-hoo! Jackpot!" in the middle of the grocery store. Hey, it's not every day you get a couple of zeros added to your checking account balance. :) And while walking back home I got all three people I passed to smile back at me. And I found some bedstraw, so now I've got a little green friend hitching a ride on my shoulder. :)

OK, I'm going to go exercise now before the buzz wears off.

So here's the rest fo the story. After I got back and cleaned up, I worked on proof reading Michelle's paper for Radiographics. Michelle came home and we went to Einstein's for lunch. We went over my corrections, then Michelle exercised and I continued proof reading. Eventually it was time for dinner, and we planned on trying a new place. We went to Taste Of Texas, which is a steak restaurant. We had a great time. I got a prime rib (Michelle has gotten me hooked on it), and Michelle had a T-bone. For dessert, we shared the deepest-dish piece of pecan pie I have ever seen. That, with a little bit of Blue Bell cinnamon ice cream on the side, was very good. It was a laid back place, a bit closer to Outback than, say, Ruth's Chris. It was a big room with vaulted ceilings and a rustic atmosphere (farm implements on the wall). Actually, we were back in the wine room, which was nice because it was a bit more cozy. Anyway, definitely worth going back. And just think, we won't need to eat for the rest of the weekend. :)

When we got home, we watched The Bourne Supremacy. I thought it wasn't bad for a suspense / action flick without a lot of plot. Michelle didn't like it, but she fell asleep half way through, and we know from previous experience that doing so can skew one's perception of a film. :) Michelle went to bed and I stayed up watching the extras, and finishing up the extras to Spider-Man 2. So much for my plans of going to bed early, at least for tonight. But hey, if I went to bed early, this wouldn't be LNH (Louis's Nifty Homepage). :)
