Aaargh! Blast it! Hang it all. Finally we're back on line. Things were working on Monday Nov 22, but sometime after that my web server stopped responding. And of course I've been out of town for almost two weeks since I went to visit relatives for Thanksgiving weekend instead of coming home. Ten day later, I finally get a chance to fix things. I figured it was the router, but I rebooted the router and it didn't seem to help. I had to reboot my web server before it would work. Nothing in the event logs that I can see - I have no idea what it was unhappy about.

I don't know. Mostly I'm frustrated because I had a bunch of Christmas list information my wife and I wanted to work on over Thanksgiving. She asked me specifically before we left if I had it, and I assured her it was online and I could get to it from anywhere. And then the whole thing went kaput, so instead of having extensive notes I had zilch for notes. And its been irking me every day since then.

<Sigh> At least it was just a glitch. A reboot and everything's back. It could have been a dead hard drive or something equally bad. It just makes me even more resolved to get a UPS - we get more power glitches around here. I bet that's what did it.

As a side note, after all the Thanksgiving revelry, Michelle and I are both afraid to step on the scale. I guess tomorrow morning is the moment of truth. :)
