Evening all. Well, I've been been getting ready to try and do some real programming this weekend. Michelle's on call on Sunday, and I've got the day to my self. Will I really be able to bring interest and free time together at the same time? We'll find out.

Actually, I spent a while today doing various little tweaks to my web site. One problem with having an archive of stuff I like is it's easy to get caught there. :) I read Ursula's comics and a variety of things from the stories section. I dunno, I still think the second writer's brawl came out really well. :)

No progress on quarters yet. No motherboard yet. I ordered new batteries for my laptop, so Scout's going to be alive and kicking better than ever. I got new shoes. I couldn't find any Nikes that I liked, so I hope my new Colombias hold up. (All the non-Nike shoes I have bought recently fell apart so quickly, I planned not to vear in the future. Now, if they only had shoes I actually liked, I would have been all set.) Got the pictures from the high school reunion posted. Oh, and I've exercised every day for thirteen days in a row! That's certainly a record for me!

Grammy fell and broke her hip, ah, Friday I believe. She had surgery today and now faces the slow, difficult recovery phase. Man, that side of the family tree has sure been unfortunate recently.

I've been making quesadillas for lunch recently. They came out very well! I'm doing what I consider bachelor style cooking: I am going to attempt to cook something, but plan to eat the result regardless of the outcome. If it's good, I'll do it again, and if it's not, I'll try something different. Velveta quesadillas work fine; making toast in the microwave (a much earlier experiment) does not work very well. Marinating chicken breast in green salsa works well; using butter lettuce in a taco salad does not work well. You win some, you lose some. :)

I was looking on Amazon to see if Wizards At War was out yet (looks like it comes out in October) and I found that the title of the next Harry Potter book has been released: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Now we just need the rest of the book to be released. :)
