Lots of erands today. I picked up my costume from the rental place. I didn't get there until 11am, and they were already pretty busy. But I managed to get my Zorro costume! It looks very good.
The FedEx guy brought the replacement router and I got it hooked up and working, so I was able to go to the shipping store and ship both the old router and the dead motherboard. Boy, I sure hope they send me a replacement motherboard without giving me any crap. This not having a computer thing is getting really old.
I also went to Michaels to pick up the picture we had framed. It looks really nice. I can't wait to get it hung up over the fireplace.
The residents' Halloween party is not until tomorrow, but I put on my costume anyway for giving out candy at the door. Michelle came home and we got burritos to go at Freebirds, then sat out on our balcony to eat dinner so we could see if anyone was coming to the front door. Nobody ever came, unfortunately.
We decided to make it a true Halloween night by watching Signs. It sure is good at being a creepy movie. It's amazing that the way the camera just lingering can build up a lot of tension. You are kept in suspense, wondering what you are looking at and what's going to happen.
One of the things people didn't like about Signs is that the aliens are rather wussy. It never bothered me bacuse that wasn't the point of the movie. Still, I decided it's not really a problem. The aliens are kind of like a pack of wolves. Sure, in the end they are no match for humans, but if you are unprepared, and if they have the element of suprise, they can do a lot of damage and will always be dangerous. No one ever complains about wolves picking off a few campers, and this is pretty much the same thing. :)
