Today was interesting. Our manager had scheduled a team meeting for right after I got to work. The gist of it was an attempt to lay down the law and say we must establish a manageable develop-test-deploy process for the risk system. Apparent the risk guys though he wanted them to set up an overblown QA process and said no way! They said they had too many high priority issues to waste time on setting up such a process. After some discussion, we came to an understanding that what we wanted to do was more reasonable. We also identified the high priority bugs that needed to be worked on first. So, I spent the rest of the day working on the high priority bug that touched me, which was identifying when the cheapest to deliver bond for a bond future changes, so we can update the securities table. After that, though, I'll be playing with CVS and build scripts again! @Whee!
