Today we went on a camer test drive trip. We went to Best Buy so Michelle could test out the heft and feel of the controls on a bunch of cameras and see which one she liked the best. I think that the Canon PowerShot S400 the best. We stopped at World Market to get some fall decorations. We went to Canyon Cafe for lunch, and we had Black and Blue Quesadillas, which were very good. We went by Old Navy, and then went to CompUSA to see if they had any more cameras to try. They did have the I/O Magic Digital Photo Library, which is a 20G USB hard drive that can download the images from your compact flash cards onto it. We even stopped at a nearby camera store to see what they had. There we were able to hold the cameras without the tethers on them, which probably gives an even better feel.

We went to a Halloween costume shop, and I rented a Zorro costume for this Halloween. Michelle is going to wear a sari she borrowed from her mom.

For dinner, we got food from Taco Bell and brought it home to eat sitting out on our 3rd floor patio. The weather is nice - starting to cool off and probably around 70.

We spent a lot of time this weekend looking at digital cameras. I'm kind of thinking about getting the Canon EOS Digital Rebel, because I'd like a big zoom lens to play with, and you need a 35mm body for those. I don't want to give up the digital aspect, so the new Canon would be perfect. Of course, I don't know what a "big zoom lens" actually is specifically, so I've got some research to do. :)

We also spent most our month's budget of disposable income this weekend. Looking at a $1000 camera feels a little gratuitous at the moment.
