Whew! I was up late this evening. And I got lots done - yay! Sometimes it feels like I'm not really being productive unless I get an evenings worth of work done too. (Hmm. Probably not good.)

@Whee! Major refactoring-fest last night. I guess I like Java inner classes. I decided to finally explode this one class I had, and I pulled eleven inner classes out of it! Talk about constipated. The problem was that the outer class was really acting as a package. The inner classes didn't belong in the package the outer class was living in, so it didn't feel right to pull them out. Finally I realized I needed to create another package, and then it made much more sense to pull out the inners. Of course, it still took me a while to disentagle the inners. It's kind of like trying to pick up your VCR and move it into a different room from your TV. Sure, you can pick up the VCR and move it, but there's all these wires connecting it to the TV that you have to deal with before you can really carry it off. The cool thing is once I had finished all this refactoring, the next change I had to make (which I had been dreading) was much easier. Just like refactoring's supposed to work! On the other hand, it could just be that the hours of pouring over the class relationships increased my familiarity and so made further changes easier. :)
