Today Michelle was on call in the morning and had to go in to LBJ. Happily, she was done early enough to come home for lunch.

We went to the Bayou City Art Festival in downtown Houston. We had lunch there, and then walked around and looked at all the booths. There was a lot of neat stuff, including some great photography and some neat glasswork. We ended up getting two things. We got one of those metal garden sculptures made out of spare parts that looks like a doggy, and we got a neat Frank Lloyd Wright-ish metal clock made by Celestial Ironworks.

After that we came home and rested a bit. I worked on the bills (which I didn't get done Friday due to computer problems) and Michelle studied radiology. For dinner, we decided to call our for chinese food and watch a movie. We walked across the street to get bubble tea and pick up out food from Auntie Chang's Dumpling House, then came home and watched Contact.

I really like that movie. It's like two movies in one. It's a science adventure story, and it's an exploration of faith and the search for truth versus science and religion. Great stuff.

I spent this evening catching up on my e-mail backlog. So far I don't get a lot of random e-mail, so I've been able to reply to everything (eventually :). Of course, the best answer to most people's questions is often "Use Google!". Oh well.
