Michelle was on call at MD Anderson today. I had a day to myself at home, but didn't do very much interesting. I worked on my web site log analyzer. I got it up to the point where it can list most of the search strings used to hit my web site. That's always fun, because you find people searching for the funniest things. Someone was seaching for the proper way to smoke a bong. I have no idea why that his my web site - probably some of the stories I have archived I guess. But from some of the searches, it looks like people are actually trying to find my site a second time, which is pretty gratifying. I'm getting around 1000 hits per day, not counting crawlers and attackers. Fortune cookies and ocarina music seem to be the most popular web searches.
I also spent some time today reading one of Michelle's radiology books. I was enjoying the part about how CT and MR work. I didn't realize MR was so techinically complicated! I was happy I learned a bit though. Michelle came home around five, and started watching Pearl Harbor but got paged again. I called my parents and talked to them for a while. Michelle got paged again and had to go in, and I got to go with her. I got to see the software she uses to read some of the scans, and some of the systems they use. I got to see the Scooby-Doo CT scanner. :) Having read the radiology book, I had a better idea of what I was looking at, and what image parameters she was adjusting when she tweaked the image.
We came home and got gyros to go from Niko Niko's for dinner. Michelle went to bed (pending her next radiology page) and I'm getting my stuff together for work tomorrow.
