These are the collected stories of Kyrn the Assassin, or "The Black Rose" as he is called by those who only know him by his reputation. Unlike the Family nas Kan series I write, these stores are intended to be self contained for the most part. You won't find huge epic saga's here, that isn't what Kyrn was created for.

Kyrn started life as a character on the IRC channel #furry. Before his creation, I had used various characters from the nas Kan series, but it always felt wrong to use them in ways that were really out of character. So, I sat down and created somebody specifically for use on IRC and Kyrn was pushed (kicking and screaming) into the spotlight.

As a character though, I needed to create a background for Kyrn so that I'd know how he would react to things that happened around him. What did he think of the ever present fantasies about vixens, was he quiet or outgoing, what did he do when he wasn't on-line. Kyrn showed up on IRC with little more then his race, a vague description and the fact that he was a retired assassin. That changed rather quickly as the questions began to pour in.

It didn't take long before I had enough background on Kyrn to decide to write a story about him, to help fill in some of the other blank spots in his history. Since he was an IRC character, I also decided to use other people I knew in IRC as "extras" as it were. Pity them, for they don't get to decide their roles, I do. *grin*

So, I have a character, a background and a cast of potential victims. The stories I'll create will depend on my mood at the moment. I intend to have fun though, so expect most of these stories to be more humorous then not. And if you happen to see yourself in one of them? Hey, that'll teach you to *slurp* that unicorn who just entered the channel.

And now, stories and stuff ...

1. Retirement Party
   The day Kyrn retired from the assassins guild, he expected to spend a nice quiet evening with his sister. Then fate (and a certain vixen) stepped in. *grin*
2. Things That Go Bump in the Night
   Kyrn's sister is having problems, one of her employees vanished. Things get interesting when she calls in Kyrn to help figure out what happened.
3. The Game
   This story was actually started about four years before it was completed in the summer of 2001. It took that long to finish because I didn't know how it ended until I'd finished living through it. It's the story of how Kyrn deals with two very different females that are part, or want to be part of, his life.
